NE-RA

So!  Last Sunday I had the chance to get involved with the New Eden Racing Association.  And get involved I did!  If you've been looking for something fun to do in EVE that's wild and out of the ordinary, I can't suggest the NE-RA enough.

So let me give you my fast sum-up of racing.  Basically, at the start of a race, the organizer announces a password for the race, and a location (So, Gablukdababaduh X Asteroid belt II).  The participants race to that spot, where a secure container is.  You fly to the container and unlock it using the password, wait for it to load (Which can sometimes take 30 seconds or more).  Once the container opens, it contains the location of the next waypoint, and you rush off.  It sounds simple, but the combination of zooming to the point, and then stopping/slowing into the 2500m area in which you can open the container, all while others are doing the same is actually a blast.  Oh, and all the waypoints are in lowsec for added danger!

Anyways, there's different classes to race in (Frigates, AF, Interceptors), and people have assembled teams and everything.  This season is wrapping up, so it's a little late to try and earn top spots, but there's still two races left!  Everyone should come out and give it a try.  It'll give you a chance to enjoy it and get a feel for it before the next seasons starts.  All the racers are really friendly and want more competition!  So move your asses people!

If you have any questions about racing or the league, feel free to get into contact with me via this blog, or in EVE!  Or, if you'd like to find a more experienced advisor, you can post on their forums, or join the NERA Academy channel in game.  And, the rules are here!

Hope to see you on the track!  I'll have more fashions for you lovelies soon!
